Description
Anna and Michael, as well as his father Esteban, have long been collaborating on pieces either made by them –two of four generations of New Mexico based jewelers– or from vintage collected from their family's 110 year old trading post in Taos. Both artists put their own spin on jewelry design while celebrating their lineage using the tools Micheal's great grandfather made and vintage turquoise, as alight on these incredible earrings. Gold and diamonds added to the silver and stone celebrate the root of the design while bringing them firmly into the realm of fine jewelry.
The Heritage Project is an offering exclusive to the Anna Sheffield store comprised of luxe, diamond-dusted, silver, and gold vintage as well as contemporary pieces. The customized jewelry is inspired by the collaborative spirit of this iconic Southwestern craft. The Heritage Project melds both Anna Sheffield’s personal history and her passion for jewelry making, keeping with her brand’s commitment to sustainability with refined metals and reclaimed diamonds. The project aims to champion contemporary Native American artisans and communicate the authorship of their craft and designs.
