A curated jewelry edit for the May babe
Bring on the May flowers, it’s time to highlight you May babes. In celebration of your birth month, we did a little digging (literally) to learn more about the restorative gemstone that is your birthstone, Emerald.Did you know that the oldest emeralds are said to be about 2.97 billion years old?😲 In current times the first emeralds were discovered in South America in the 16th century. But before their discovery by the Spanish, they were said to have been used by the Incas. There are many mystical and practical uses for emeralds. According to ancient folklore, if you put an emerald under your tongue, it can help you see into the future. The calming green color is said to have restorative properties for our eyes. This was seen in helping early lapidaries, a.k.a. someone who cuts, polishes, or engraves gems. Emeralds were used to rest the workers’ eyes after long periods of concentration. Today they are still used to relax and relieve eye strain👁.From arrow studs to nesting bands, we’ve curated a jewelry edit that encompasses the power of this small, natural wonder.
Our Bea Suite No. 18 is made up of our Bea East/West Solitaire Ring and our Tiara Curve Band. We also suggest adding a little newness in the form of our Cosmic Tiara Curve Band!✨
Pave Amulets for days! Pictured above (L to R): Pave Amulet Ring, Solitaire Stud Earrings, and Pave Amulet Necklace.
Did you know that emeralds get their green color from trace amounts of chromium and vanadium in the gem? See the vibrant color of green in our Bea Arrow Studs which feature three 1.7mm emeralds. These tiny emerald treats come in 14k yellow, rose, or white gold.
