They also invest in research, advocacy, and workforce development to close the Water Gap once and for all.ACLU – The ACLU has evolved in the years since from this small group of idealists into the nation’s premier defender of the rights enshrined in the U.S. Constitution. With more than 1.5 million members, nearly 300 staff attorneys, thousands of volunteer attorneys, and offices throughout the nation, the ACLU of today continues to fight government abuse and to vigorously defend individual freedoms including speech and religion, a woman’s right to choose, the right to due process, citizens’ rights to privacy and much more.Minnesota Freedom Fund – The Minnesota Freedom Fund pays criminal bail and immigration bond for those who cannot afford to as we seek to end discriminatory, coercive, and oppressive jailing.Trans Justice Funding Project – The Trans Justice Funding Project is a community-led funding initiative founded in 2012 to support grassroots, trans justice groups run by and for trans people.Fair Fight – Fair Fight promotes fair elections in Georgia and around the country, encourage voter participation in elections, and educate voters about elections and their voting rights.RIGHT NOW: In light of most recent developments in our society around the Black Lives Matter movement and continued racial injustices, Anna Sheffield has taken time to reflect, listen, learn, support, and now to amplify resources and efforts in the ongoing fight for justice and equality.
